Description of the tour
Did you know that Moscow is 6 times larger than Paris and 4 times larger than Berlin, if you count by population? So the central part of Moscow is also much larger than that of other capitals of Europe and that this route is hardly enough to go round all this.
In any case, I decided to make this route, because routes of this length are on all bike tours of European capitals – it is designed for 2 hours and it can be driven by anyone.
We can drive in two ways: a short one will be 17km and it will take 2 hours, or we can extend the route to 20km and then you can see the Kremlin and Red Square. You can make a decision somewhere in the middle of the route – both options are at the same price.
If you are in good sports, I would advise you to go another route 25 km – there will be more places for good photos and better views. And this is my favorite route 🙂
After going through this route, you can save money on a tour of the river – all that you will see here, you will see and on the ship – but on a bicycle you will be able to get closer, stop where you want and do more photos.
Option: +3km and you can see the Kremlin and Red Square. It’s free – I generally like to ride a bike.
Option: you can drink some beer in the oldest Soviet beer bar. 250 rubles (3 euros) a mug of good beer. Just there you can have a bite, a dining room in the spirit of the USSR.
Warning: during the World Cup, the territory of the sports complex Luzhniki can be closed. 🙁
Starting point: Russia, Moscow, 7th Rostovsky lane house 1-3, I will wait for you there with bicycles right on the street. You can walk from the Kievskaya subway – 5 minutes across the bridge.
