Exhibition of Achievements bicycle tour

Summary

This route is more like cycling through parks and beautiful places. This is not an excursion to ancient objects and tourist attractions.

This route should be liked by those who like to ride through parks and green boulevards. I called it an exhibition of achievements – this is the name of the main and largest object that we will ride on a bicycle, but also this route could be called “Moscow’s parks”, as we will visit the two most wonderful parks.

Also on the route there are ordinary city blocks in which ordinary people live – you can see life in Moscow. Between the parks we will pass along the usual streets and courtyards.

The first park that we will visit will be Sokolniki, the place where Russian tsars made falconry in the 15th century, and later in the Soviet times it became one of the largest parks of Moscow.

One of the most memorable objects on the route will be the Ostankino television tower – one of the largest structures in Europe.

The second park we will visit is the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences. A very beautiful place where you can meet unique plants and trees.

In both parks, if you’re lucky, you can feed the squirrels and ducks – I will have something on this route with me.

And of course – an exhibition of achievements. It’s more like a huge palace, with a bunch of pavilions of its own special beauty.

The starting point of the route is the subway station VDNH.

Option in the route: you can climb the tower, to a height of 337 meters, but it will take 1.5-2 hours extra + you must take your documents (passport) with you. Somewhere one hour will go to collect the group, purchase tickets, pass control (this is a specially protected facility) and one hour you can spend on the observation platform of the tower. Together with buying a ticket for the tower you can rent an English audio guide. The ticket price is 1000 rubles (about 15 euros). Tickets can be bought directly at the tower.
