Big Moscow tour

Summary

Want to ride a bike and ride in Moscow all day? Ready for 40+ kilometers? Love it as much as I do? This route will serve as the basis for excellent cycling.

Moscow is much larger than other capitals of Europe. There is a center and main sights there, but most are located elsewhere. If you are ready to ride a bicycle 45 kilometers, this is your choice. You will see many completely different places, you will visit both the center and ordinary urban areas. We will pass through the old city buildings, and through super modern skyscrapers.

We will start on the square near the Kiev station, then we will go along the Moskva River embankment to Moscow State University. We will climb the Vorobyov Hills, if we wish, we will ride a bike through the territory of Moscow State University, where I will tell you many interesting stories, because I studied there before.

At the top of the hills there will be an excellent observation deck, and another one after a few kilometers, when we reach the building of the Academy of Sciences.

Then we go back to the embankment, and get to Gorky Park and further to the Museon Art Park. There you can see the old monuments that were taken from all over the country, as well as an exhibition of street artists and interesting fantasies.

Further we will go through embankments and squares and bridges to Red Square, we will pass near to the Big theater, the house of parliament, on the central streets of Moscow.

You will see two famous skyscrapers of the times of Stalin, modern skyscrapers of the “Moscow-City”. A little pass through the usual urban areas of Moscow, visit several parks. After this route, you will not be interested in swimming on the ship on the river – you will see everything and even much more.

The route is flat and despite its length is not heavy. On the way, we can do halts for a snack and ice cream and of course photo sessions

The beginning of the route is the Kievskaya subway station, the end is the same.
